DiverCity is the Odaiba mall in front of the life-size Gundam statue — which for a robot-inclined toddler is a free, guaranteed hit. Inside, our visits found it one of the easier malls in Tokyo to work with a stroller, with well-equipped baby facilities and enough food-court range for any picky eater. The evening Gundam light shows are free too.
Where it fits in a Tokyo trip
It plays the support role in an Odaiba day: the seafront park and LEGOLAND Discovery Center (in the neighbouring Decks mall) provide the events, DiverCity provides lunch, baby care, air-conditioning and the Gundam photo. Odaiba as a whole is the most stroller-friendly ground in Tokyo, and this is its most useful indoor block.

When does the Gundam statue move?
It performs at scheduled times through the day and evening, with the light shows after dark — the plaza viewing is free. Check the current schedule on site; evening slots land best with preschoolers.
